Driving home for college each day, I pass a Chrisitian church establishment. "Do You Know Your Purpose?", the sign declares knowlingly. No, I do not. Won't you enlighten me?
Artistic Opinion
I have always thought of art teachers...What is it with Betty Edwards? What makes a person an Artist? Art classes taught me nothing. Art books taught me nothing. Nothing compared to what I learned from experience. They talk about proportion, they talk about composition, they talk about technique. But there is one single truth I will share with you ~ non of that matters. The only important aspect that must be considered in Art is moving your hand on the surface of the paper. That is all
Life Situations
"You are very unusual."
What? I was startled. He didn't say "seem" or "look", he said "are", like he knew me.
"I get that alot", I reply like an idiot, proccessing in my mind who the hell this guy is, do I know him, and if I do, it would be rude to introduce myself, and why should I anyway, and why is he talking to me?
Unusual. Unusual is an unusual word in itself, so that must mean he was also proccessing other words in his head like "weird" or "strange", and those are way too forward.
Maybe he was just another comrade, but the obvious trace of thought in him made me think about O'Brian, and how he measures up.
"Are you in my class?", a cheap attempt to be casual on my part, I know, but my reaction is not as fast as I fancied.
"No, this is the first time I seen you. First impression, your energy, I guess."
Ahahaha, my aura, I thought, an immidiate, natural reaction of sarcasm.
"What's your name?", the best small talk I could think of.
"Ëugene, what's yours?"
"Paulina", I pull out my hand to shake his, an exellent notion, might I add. He repeats it.
Lyrics of the Day
Ice is forming on the tips of my wings
Unheeded warnings
I thought I thought of everything
No navigator to find my way home
Unladened, empty and turned to stone
A soul in tension that's learning to fly
Condition grounded but determined to try
Can't keep my eyes from the circling skies
Tongue-tied and twisted
Just an earth-bound misfit, I.
Pink Floyd,
Learning To Fly.
